Structural Reliability Analysis Course
Probabilistic Structural Analysis, Design and Structural Reliability-Risk Assessment
Length: 3 days CEUs: 2.30 PDHs: 23.00
Course is offered by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
This is a Professional Development Course for Structural Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace and related disciplines).
This is an applications-oriented course on how to perform structural reliability analysis, compute structural failure probability, estimate risk and assess safety of structures. About 75% of the course is discussion of applications in buildings, nuclear plants, pressure vessels and piping, petrochemical facilities, offshore structures, ships, marine and aerospace structures.
Text Book: "Probabilistic Structural Mechanics Handbook: Theory and Industrial Applications", edited by C. (Raj) Sundararajan, Chapman and Hall, New York, 745 pages. Course participants will also receive supplementary course notes prepared by the instructor.
Instructor: C. (Raj) Sundararajan, Ph.D., MASCE, FASME
Face book: Chelliah Raj Sundararajan
